The Southern Writing Center Association (SWCA) presents three awards at its spring conference: the Achievement Award for a writing center administrator, the Peer Tutor Award, and the Outstanding Article Award for Southern Discourse. The SWCA is actively seeking nominations for the first two of these awards which are accompanied by cash prizes.

Mary Alm, Director of the University Writing Center at the University of North Carolina at Asheville, chairs the Awards Committee (malm@unca.edu). Letters of nomination are due Nov. 1; submission packets must be received by December 1, 2004. Electronic submission is preferred.
