Writing Fellows and WAC: Call for Proposals
Jul 12th, 2006 | By IWCA Web Editor | Category: ArchivesFor a special issue of Across the Disciplines, to be published in Fall 2007, guest editors Brad Hughes and Emily B. Hall (University of Wisconsin-Madison) invite proposals for articles that critically explore the foundations, implications, and influence of Writing Fellows programs and their intersections with WAC. This issue invites scholars to consider (among many possibilities) how Writing Fellows can influence the cultures and practices of writing on a campus, how Fellows complicate views of specialized discourse and the generalist model of writing centers, and how Fellows can be prepared to consider how race, class, and gender influence their interaction with student-writers. For full information, see http://wac.colostate.edu/atd/call_fellows.cfm.
Deadline for proposals: September 1, 2006.
