Call for nominations: IWCA Executive Board Officers

We are seeking candidates for three open positions:
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer

These terms start at NCTE in fall of 2009 and are two year terms.  The VP is a six year commitment; VP becomes president in fall of 2011 and then past president in fall of 2013.

Duties of each office are described on the writingcenters.org web site: http://writingcenters.org/about/governance/

The current president (Michele Eodice) runs the election.  Only board members vote for these candidates.  Candidates must be IWCA members in good standing; they need not be current board members.

Please send your letter of interest or nominate someone else.   These nominations should be cleared with the person you intend to nominate.  Self-nominations are accepted.

The election will take place from Monday, February 2 through midnight on Friday, February 6, 2009.  Votes will be cast electronically and anonymously in the IWCA Forum.  Board members will be the only members with access to this poll.

If you decide to run, please provide me with a CV and a 200 word overview of your willingness to serve, platform, interests, etc.   Board members will review these documents before they vote.
