Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, (specify total credit hours earned), and over three years relevant full-time experience; prefer degree in English or related field and teaching experience. A successful candidate must be able to provide daily leadership to the College Writing Center (CWC) staff and tutor students in writing for a variety of courses.

Responsibilities include: tutoring students in CWC; supervising staff; communicating policy and procedures to staff; organizing staff work load; helping hire and train staff; communicating with faculty and other college staff; implementing one-credit courses; and consulting with faculty director of the CWC.

Usual hours: 7:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday; 7:30 a.m.- 3 p.m., Friday.

36-week position. Begins August 2009.
