The 2012 National Conference on Peer Tutoring in Writing will take place in Chicago on November 2, 3, and 4, 2012. Proposals are invited through Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Visit the conference website for more information: http://condor.depaul.edu/writing/ncptw2012/index.html .
Additionally, the NCPTW Steering Committee is providing $5000 in travel grants for peer tutors presenting at the conference. More information about the travel grant process, including deadlines and notification dates for recipients, is also available at the NCPTW 2012 conference website.
In order to get our minds working on the conference theme of Tutor Identity, NCPTW would like to invite you to participate in our pre-conference writing competition!
Now is your chance to tell the world all about what it is like to be you – a tutor and/or a center administrator – in the NCPTW Chicago 2012 Memoir Competition. It’s simple to submit your memoir here , and there are fabulous prizes to be had. Just make sure you read the instructions carefully! (There is a word limit.)
