Director, English as a Second Language Program
Gannon, a Catholic university dedicated to bringing its mission and ministry to life through its commitment to diversity, invites applications for the position of Director, English as a Second Language (ESL) Program. Responsibilities include providing administrative leadership for the design and delivery of a comprehensive ESL curriculum, student advising, and the recruitment of qualified instructors. The successful candidate must be able to schedule and present courses of varied intensity and duration that meet the ESL needs of international students who want to study in the United States (U.S.); to retain, assist and train students with transition into full degree programs offered by the University; and must be able to support and promote the University’s Mission.
Requirements include a master’s degree and three years of progressively responsible administrative experience under a context of international enrollment and outreach. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in the ESL profession – ideally in support of college-level students – and experience in curriculum development.
