Carson-Newman College invites applicants for an Assistant Professor English and Writing Center Director in the English Department.  The position is a full-time and tenure-track to begin August, 2013

Candidates for the position must have a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition or a Ph.D. in English, specializing in Composition, Rhetoric, Writing Across the Curriculum, or Writing Center administration. Additional specializations in business, technical, professional, and scientific writing is preferred.

Carson-Newman employs faculty and staff who are actively supportive, through a local church, of its aim as a college with a Christian commitment.

Candidates for the position of Assistant Professor English will oversee a new Writing Center, direct First Year Writing, coordinate WAC on campus, and have a 3/3 teaching load.
