Dixie State University is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track Writing Center Coordinator and Composition Instructor beginning August 2014. Review of applications will begin immediately. Open until filled.
The Coordinator will manage, develop, and coordinate DSU’s Writing Center; teach developmental and first- and second-year writing courses; attend department, division, and faculty meetings; serve on assigned university and department committees; and work with faculty in program management and assessment.
Applicant must have an M.A. in English or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution; experience in writing centers and composition theory; strong management skills; experience teaching developmental and first-year college composition; potential for excellence in teaching, research, and service; and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Salary is based on the nationally competitive Dixie State University faculty salary schedule. An excellent benefit package is included.
