The Department of English at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro invites applicants for an Academic Professional/Interim Assistant Director of the University Writing Center, to begin August 1, 2014, for a one-year term appointment. In addition to specific duties in the Center (enumerated below), the Academic Professional/Interim Assistant Director will teach a 1/2 teaching load in the English Department.
Specific duties in the University Writing Center will be determined in consultation with the Director, but may include the following:
Assistance with staff training, supervision, assessment, and maintenance
Assistance with mentoring junior administrators
Assistance with managing the day-to-day operations of the Center (face-to-face and online)
Record-keeping and publicity

Master’s degree (M.A. or M.F.A.) in English
Successful experience in a college or university writing center
