Position Overview

The Department of English at Butler University seeks to hire a full-time Instructor/Administrator & Director of Peer Tutoring starting in the fall of 2017. A PhD in Rhetoric and Composition is preferred while other graduate degrees in English fields with writing center experience will be considered. Experience in writing center administration and as a writing center employee are required. A teaching load of 2-2 in First Year Seminar, EN 301 (required training course for Writing Center staff), and other courses depending on candidate expertise and department needs are expected. Job requirements include administering the day-to-day functions of our Writing Center, support for core and university writing programs, and outreach work to the campus and local community and ENL populations.
