News Items and Announcements
Guidelines for Submissions
- News items announcements of interest to the writing center community should be submitted (e-mailed) complete, as you would like them to read. If your item contains graphics or special formatting, please indicate that to the web editor in your e-mail.
- News items should contain complete information and provide readers with all necessary context.
- Position announcements should contain applicable deadlines and an expiration date so that they can be easily archived after deadlines have passed.

Guidelines for Submission
The IWCA Website welcomes contributions about various aspects of writing center work. Because of the nature of the Website as a handy resource for writing center personnel from around the world, submissions will most likely be practical in nature, and deal with one of the three main areas of the site:
- Starting a writing center
- Peer tutoring
- Directing a writing center
Nevertheless, we encourage development of other aspects for writing center work.
Submissions for feature pages on the Website are through query only. We ask that you read pertinent materials in the various subsections of the web site before submitting your query which should consist of a statement of purpose, audience, and general outline of what you wish to contribute. Please do not submit complete manuscripts to the Website.
